What is the PLA/PLA Sheet ?
- PET sheet (polyethylene terephthalate) is a common thermoplastic that provides high dimensional stability, excellent mechanical strength and good resistance to creep. It offers resistance to chemicals, provides very low moisture absorption and is a good electrical insulator. The PET Sheets application contains general packaging applications, dairy items, and thermoforming food packaging applications, light panels, urban development and public buildings, street furniture, signs, advertising, and information, and sanitaryware.
- PLA is a lactic acid made from corn residue. It is biodegradable and biocompatible. This means that the boards are compostable under non-industrial conditions. It is an impact-resistant and machinable sheet with a hard surface. The PLA sheet can be used in rigid package of fruits, vegetables, eggs, cooked food and roast food, also can be usedfor packaging of sandwich, biscuit and some other packages like fresh flower.
