Underwater Strand Pelletizer
For PET (polyethylene terephthalate) pelletizing methods, underwater strand pelletizing system is mostly used in the market at present. A set of underwater strand pelletizer unit is specially developed in combination with operating costs and customer needs. The whole production line is composed of water tank, granulator, dehydrator, vibrating screen, etc. The operation process of the whole set of equipment is precisely controlled by PLC.
Process Flow
- After the PET melt is extruded by the extruder through the perforated casting plate, it is initially cooled by the diversion groove (water tank), and then it is drawn into the pelletizing chamber, and then the strip is cut into pellets by the pelletizer rotary blade, and cooling pellets are transported into the centrifugal dehydrator. After being dried by the centrifugal dehydrator, it enters the vibrating screen for screening, and finally obtains qualified pellets.
- As shown in the figure above: During the granulation process, the cooling water of the granulation process is divided into three streams and added to the granulation process to cool the strands and granules. When the melt is extruded from the extruder, add the overflow water and spray water, the strip can be cooled and sprayed in the diversion groove, and the strip is driven by the water flow and pulled by the traction roller to enter the granulation chamber for granulation, and the granulation conveying water will transport the pellets to the centrifugal dehydrator for dry.
